Biography

Carrie L. Heimlich is an artist based out of Caledonia, Ohio who is making a long-awaited comeback to her art after raising a family, working and teaching in the veterinary industry. She is a graduate of Morehead State University (KY) with a B.S. in Animal Science and a minor in Studio Art and currently is a program analyst for the USDA Farm Service Agency in Marion County. She has done pastel for many years completing commissioned pet portraits as well as landscapes and although it has always been her ‘go to’ medium, she has recently explored a variety of artistic outlets including relief carving and custom painted bourbon bottles. She is looking forward to improving her technique and style with trainings and the fellowship of other artists. She is a member of the Mid-Ohio Fine Art Society, Inc. (MOFAS) and the Ohio Pastel Artists League (OPAL) and in her spare time enjoys spending time with her horses, dogs, cats and of course, her husband Nick.
